Spielberg's Boom Blox Launched for Wii
May 06, 2008

Electronic Arts and newly anointed game producer Steven Spielberg have announced Boom Blox for Nintendo Wii has shipped to stores.

While Spielberg counts the cash Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull is sure to rake in starting on May 22, kids 8-12 will have their own puzzles to solve in Boom Blox. The game features almost 400 levels of pure destruction with single player, co-op, and versus multiplayer options.

"Boom Blox was designed to be interactive, pure escapism, and fun for kids of all ages," said Steven Spielberg. "My hope is that it will be a great shared family experience."

"As we developed Boom Blox, we realized that the possibilities with the puzzles were endless," explains Louis Castle, Executive Producer. "We wanted to extend that element of wonder and discovery to players and even give them the chance to share those puzzles with their friends. We feel we’ve reached a new level of creative and immersive game play with the uniqueness of the Wii system and are looking forward to seeing what kids create."

Boom Blox carries a retail price of $49.99. Click here to order Boom Blox for Wii from Amazon.com.
